Public Outreach in Irvine, KY!

Several thousand people converged on the town of Irvine for the annual Mountain Mushroom Festival this past Saturday and we had the privilege to be in their parade. Our church won the 2nd place ribbon in the parade for our float (which sported an 8 foot tall King James Bible), but more importantly, we were able to hand out approximately 3000 gospel tracts and pamphlets. Glory to God! We pray the Lord will bless His words to the salvation of some lost souls here in central Kentucky! It was a great day with great weather and a great opportunity to serve our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. After all, the gospel is an outdoor message and is to be proclaimed and delivered publicly (Acts 20:20). Be sure and check out the photos of this event under the picture section of our site.

A Great Meeting Under the Tent!

Our recent tent revival was a real blessing and refreshment to the church. We thank God for the good, dry weather, for the great singing and special music and for the fellowship of the saints under the tent this past week. What a blessing it is to still hear some men of God get up and preach the Bible without apology. We heard some great sermons from Earl Ankrom, Ron Ralph, David Epps, Jay Wilburn and Mike Cox and each message was just what the doctor ordered. Praise God for each soul that trusted the Lord Jesus Christ during the meeting and for the help the saints received each night. If you visited with us during the week, we thank you for coming out and do hope you were blessed. We hope you will be with us again sometime soon. God is good and we thank Him for all that He has done through our feeble efforts to serve Him at Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church.
